What is the opportunity?

The Sr. Technical Analyst - Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Tools Specialist is part of the Technical Shared Services team within Information Technology Service (ITS) Branch. This team determines approaches, process, and procedures for integrating new technology into the existing and new application infrastructure(s); defines, implements and maintains core application infrastructure; and manages ALM solutions that automate processes and enable product teams to deliver quality applications. This position manages the acquisition, integration and servicing of all ALM tools and related services required to support BC Pension's application development. 

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and three years of recent experience in a complex application environment, supporting large, diverse, corporate business applications.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of three years of recent experience implementing, configuring and administering tools within the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA and Confluence).

Nice-to-have

  • Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator
  • Atlassian Certified Confluence Administrator
  • Experience in application development with a variety of system development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, DevOps).
  • Experience with IT change and release management processes.
