Vendor Management Analyst

Temporary Assignment -  Up to Seven Months

The Vendor Management Analyst will be responsible for ongoing facilitation and monitoring of IT contracts and Master Service Agreements. The successful candidate will be experienced in developing new contracts, renewals, maintaining contract compliance and other duties relating to vendor relationship management. Related functions to vendor management within this position include: procuring IT services and products, measuring and monitoring service quality, understanding public procurement practices, Request for Proposal development, Statements of Work (SOW), change requests and associated financial responsibilities.

Selection Criteria:
 University degree in Information Systems or Business Administration and five years' related experience; OR completion of a diploma in information technology, computer science, or similar field and five years' of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and seven years' of related experience.

 Preference given to candidates with ITIL certification.

 The candidate should have at least five years' recent practical experience that includes:

 -Experience in vendor management, ideally with IT.
 -Experience with high value contracts extending over many years.
 -Experience using a service management tool for IT metrics.
 -Experience working with contract documentation and interpretation.
 -Experience researching and analyzing financial and operational data and developing recommendations with options for decision making.
 -Experience with procurement is required (public service procurement experience is preferred).  Preference will be given to candidates with Public Procurement Certification.
 -Proficient in use of office automation tools including: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as MS Project and Visio.
 -Preference given to candidates with some project management and coordination experience.
 -Preference given to candidates with experience in performance auditing, bench-marking, governance and contract management with an IT service management group.
