In consultation with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and other project team members, the Technical Integration Manager makes recommendations regarding the approach for implementation of new or changed business requirements, new features, technical deficits and required maintenance and advises senior management regarding appropriate actions to support those changes. They understand business requirements, integrate IT solutions that meet the business needs and align to enterprise architecture, and are accountable for solution/system documentation.

As custodian of the deep knowledge of all BC Pension Corporation (BCPC) supported systems, the Technical Integration Manager works with, among others, Solution Engineers (SE) and Enterprise Architects (EA), BCPC managed service partners, SAAS providers and Cloud providers to understand the behaviors of various system components and dependencies and ensures an up to date knowledge base is maintained. In collaboration with SE and EA, this position identifies deficiencies or gaps in system processes, proposes system enhancements, identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and works closely with relevant teams to architect solutions for long term scalability of the all system/application environments.

Selection Criteria:

  • Completion of a University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.  An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of eight years of systems integration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in complex enterprise IM/IT projects with multiple interdependencies including major business transformations and experience in managing.
  • Proven experience of working in an agile, digital product-focused development environment with multidisciplinary teams to iterative create and improve digital products and service.
  • Technical experience including: Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Enterprise Service Bus (EBS), Web Services, Oracle, Java, TIBCO.
  • Experience with distributed application architectures.
  • Experience in the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise-wide integration solutions.
  • Experience working with both waterfall and agile systems development life cycle.
  • Experience in the following is considered an asset:
    - DevOps Processes, including Scrum;
    - ITIL processes and best practices; and
    - pension industry and pension plans.
